40 Weeks, 4 Days

Still Pregnant. And because he's now 4 days late, baby's getting another sweater. It's blocking now, and needs a zipper, and I'll post a photo as soon as it's done.

To take my mind off things, John and I went to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn yesterday. It was nearly 80 degrees in Portland, the sun was out, and for a while, I forgot about being frustrated and tired. I loved it. It made me happy.

We haven't taken a ton of photos of me pregnant, mostly because I don't find them to be that cute. It's only really recently that I've looked decidedly pregnant, in the sense that I get knowing smiles from older women as I waddle by. Until a few weeks ago, I looked more like I'd really enjoyed quite a bit of cake (which I have, but also, there's a baby in there.)

After wandering around the fields for an hour, we took in the crafts, and bought some handspun wool for a winter cap for John -- in two of his favorite colors, grey and dark grey. And because we spent $13 on the handspun, we only had enough cash left to buy one bratwurst, which we shared, and which was delicious.

It seems like there's some sort of cake-baby joke to be made here... "Cake or birth?" perhaps...

Wow, you braved the weekend crowds. It was crowded enough on Friday. Beautiful weather, though. Ada loved the cow train, how 'bout you?
